CULTURAL HERITAGE OF MUKAGALI MAKATAYEV AS PART OF AN INTEGRITY HOUR

Today the Anti-Corruption Agency held a regular Integrity Hour entitled “Eternal Heritage - Mukagali Makatayev”.

The online lesson is based on the works of the great poet, on moral virtues such as justice and honesty, patriotism and respect for the country.

February, 9 this year marks 90th anniversary (1931-1976) of the great Kazakh poet Mukagali Makatayev.

Makatayev's creative work is the golden fund of the Kazakh poetry. The talented person, born in the first half of the twentieth century, who embraced the national origins to the full, became the most beloved poet of his people.

The poet said, “Poetry must begin with love and end with decency”, thus he called on people to be honest, kind, to foster love of the Motherland in the young generation, respect their Native Land and native language, honor elderly people and appreciate every moment of peacetime.

During the online lecture, young people got acquainted with the poet's patriotic poems. The topic of the Motherland and native nature occupies a key place in the poet's work. In his works, he said that a person can live without a wife, mother, without children, relatives, but he cannot live without his homeland. A man without a homeland is like a beast without a hole, a bird without a nest.

Today's “Integrity Hour” taught moral virtues such as patriotism and personal dignity through the poetry and works of poet Mukagali.

After all, there is no doubt that any young person who has managed to put these thoughts in his mind will follow the path of honesty and justice.

Mukagali Makatayev raised modern Kazakh poetry to a new artistic level. His work is free from ideological and political sentiments. Studying his works, we learn how to love and protect our Motherland, protect nature, love people, appreciate mothers and loved ones.
