Questionnaires in 4, 8 grades

On 13-14 January, 2021, as part of the comprehensive plan to improve reading literacy of Reading School Project for 2020-2025, East Kazakhstan Regional Center for New Technologies in Education held a digital survey among students of grades 4 and 8 in order to monitor and identify the information needs and interests of library readers, as well as to increase the status of reader’s activity and improve the reading quality.

A total of 5,684 schoolchildren took part in the survey. Including - 4045 learners of grade 4 and 1,639 learners of grade 8.  

Following the results of the survey, the learners showed an average level of reading literacy in the skills of interpreting the text and extracting key information from the text.
