Refresher courses on “Abaitanu kursyn okytudyn gylymi-adistemelik negizderi” for teachers of Kazakh language and Literature

On 23-27 November, 2020 Shygys Regional Center of Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region held online refresher courses on the teaching methodology of the elective course “Abaytanu” for 5-8 grades within the framework of the plan of events dedicated to the 175th anniversary of Abai Kunanbayev for teachers of Kazakh language and literature of secondary schools.
The goal of the courses is to develop professional competencies and improve the skills of teachers of Kazakh language and literature in teaching the fundamental area of ​​Kazakh literature founded by Mukhtar Auezov - Abaitanu, which declares the creative path of Abai Kunanbayev.
37 teachers of Kazakh language and literature of Ust-Kamenogorsk city were trained. The lecturers of the courses are the authors of the regional program of the elective course “Abaitanu” for grades 5-8 and Mugalim kitaby - Doctor of Philology, Abai's works researcher, professor Aizhan Kartayeva, as well as teachers of Kazakh language and literature of Opytnoe Pole Secondary School Bigul Abezhanova, T.Amanov Secondary School No. 16 and Semey city Gulnar Kunafina. Following the course, each listener developed and defended a short-term lesson plan on the chosen topic and provided feedback. These refresher courses will undoubtedly be useful for the further activities of teachers of Kazakh language and literature.
