On March 10, 2026, Deputy Akim of East Kazakhstan region Erbol Zh. Nurgaliyev and Deputy Head of Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region Alima A. Akylbek met with teaching staff of private colleges of Ust-Kamenogorsk in order to discuss the issues of the upcoming republican referendum, scheduled for March 15, 2026.

The meeting was also attended by Writer and Honored Cultural Worker Aldiyar Akylbekuly Aubakirov.
