Regional workshop “Modern approaches to teaching French and German: innovative methods and technologies”

On February 27, 2026, School Gymnasium No. 10 of Education Department of Ust-Kamenogorsk city hosted the regional workshop for teachers of French and German languages on the topic: “Modern approaches to teaching French and German: innovative methods and technologies.”

The workshop was attended by university lecturers, methodologists and teachers of secondary schools.  

1. Zh. Bilyalova, Head of Methodological Department for Social Sciences and Humanities of Örken East Kazakhstan Regional Scientific and Methodological Center for Informatization and Education Development of Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region delivered a review of current trends in teaching foreign languages.

As part of the practical session, German teachers of School Gymnasium No. 10 - E.B. Uryumtseva, K.E. Toktazhanov, N.A. Dubrova, K.A. Desh presented master classes.

French language teaching practices were presented by A.I. Akulov, a French teacher of School Gymnasium No. 10, and V.E. Malysheva, a French teacher of Valeological Specialized School Complex for Gifted Children.

The methodological training sessions were conducted by E.V. Shikhotova, Director of the Linguistic Center of KAFU and a senior lecturer of the Foreign Languages Department.  

The participants demonstrated digital educational tools, innovative learning technologies and modern lesson formats.  

Particular emphasis was placed on the use of artificial intelligence at different stages of the lesson, modern tools for teaching French, and effective strategies for enhancing student motivation in German language classes.

The workshop concluded with the discussion and feedback sessions. All participants were awarded certificates and the speakers received letters of appreciation.
