The national challenge “My Favorite Book”

On February 27, 2026, the Republican Scientific and Pedagogical Library held the national challenge “My Favorite Book” with the support of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, in order to implement the Concept “Nine events for nine months”, approved by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as the Children’s Library Program.

Representatives of education administrations, methodological centers, school teachers and students from 17 regions of the Republic of Kazakhstan and 3 cities of national significance participated in the challenge.

East Kazakhstan region accepted a challenge from Ulytau region with a proposal to read O. Bokey’s work “Atau kere”. When passing the challenge to Shymkent city, East Kazakhstan region proposed reading a literary work by M. Zhumabayev.

As part of the challenge, students of Secondary School No. 50 of Ust-Kamenogorsk city of Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region read the work “Atau Kere”, made a significant contribution to the substantive organization of the event and received appreciation from both organizers and participants.
