PRESS RELEASE of methodological online workshop on “Forming functional literacy of learners in the context of implementing the updated educational content”

Shygys Regional Center of Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region holds a methodological online workshop on “Forming functional literacy among learners in the context of implementing the updated educational content” as part of the work of the Association of Subjects “Atameken” for teachers of History of secondary schools of the region.

The goal of the workshop is to share experiences on forming functional literacy of learners in the context of implementing the updated educational content, setting out pedagogical activities and techniques aimed at organizing the educational process that develops the creative mastering of educational material in the subjects “Kazakhstan history”, “World history” in the process of cognitive activities of learners.

At the online workshop, the members of the Regional Association will share their experience: A.Zh. Oramalova, a teacher of history, teacher-master of K. Nurgaliyev Lyceum School No. 43 of Ust-Kamenogorsk city; Lazzat Mautkhan, a teacher of history, the first category of Shakarim Secondary School No. 1 of Ust-Kamenogorsk city and Roza Sarkytbekkyzy Cheketayeva, Ph.D., a senior teacher of Orleu Republican Institution for Professional Development JSC of East Kazakhstan region.

The speakers will share their practices in improving the functional literacy of learners in the subjects “Kazakhstan history”, “World history” and present the best fragments of lessons in view of distance learning.

The methodological online workshop takes place on November 5, 2020 at 12.00pm.
