Regional workshop “Creating an inclusive environment for children with special educational needs in specialized educational institutions”

On February 18, 2026, Örken East Kazakhstan Regional Scientific and Methodological Center for Informatization and Education Development of Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region held a regional workshop on the topic: “Creating an inclusive environment for children with special educational needs in specialized educational institutions”. The event took place at Special School-Boarding School No. 8 of Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region.

The event was attended by more than 40 educators from special and general education organizations of the region. The opening address was delivered by G.O. Boshakova, Head of Guardianship, Trusteeship and Special Education Department of Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region.  

During the workshop, specialists, teachers and educators from Special School of Education Administration of East Kazakhstan Region, Special School-Boarding School No. 1 of Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region and Special School-Boarding School No. 8 of Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region presented effective strategies and practical approaches to establishing a safe and comfortable educational environment for children with special educational needs. The program included an exhibition of teaching materials, as well as students’ creative works.  

The workshop concluded with an interactive Q&A session, enabling participants to deeply discuss the identified topics and formulate practical recommendations for strengthening safe and comfortable educational environments for learners with special educational needs.
