Results of foresight seminar “Modern strategies for improving student achievements in mathematics, physics and computer science: university and school”

On October 30, 2025, Örken East Kazakhstan Regional Scientific and Methodological Center for Informatization and Education Development of Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region, jointly with Daulet Serikbayev East Kazakhstan Technical University held a foresight seminar titled “Modern strategies for improving student achievements in mathematics, physics and computer science: university and school” for methodologists of education departments, teachers of mathematics, physics and computer science.

The foresight seminar was held as part of implementing the Address of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan and aimed at identifying effective models of cooperation between schools and universities to improve the quality of education in mathematics, physics and computer science in line with modern technological trends.  The Address highlighted the need to integrate artificial intelligence as a tool for analyzing educational achievements, personalizing educational pathways, and enhancing pedagogical effectiveness.

During the seminar, the participants discussed key factors contributing to declining school results, stressed the importance of integrating digital technologies and AI platforms into the learning process, and developed proposals for joint educational programs and elective courses to foster engineering and IT thinking among students.

Following the event, it was proposed to establish joint research and methodological groups “school – university” aimed at introducing artificial intelligence into learning processes and monitoring academic results, developing digital educational resources and improving digital competences of educators.

The outcomes of the foresight seminar will contribute significantly to the implementation of national education digitalization policies and the development of a modern educational environment aligned with the strategic priorities of the Address of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
