Professional development courses for primary school teachers on “Methods of teaching chess for 1st to 2nd graders”

 Örken East Kazakhstan Regional Scientific and Methodological Center for Informatization and Education Development of Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region, jointly with the Republican Public Association “Kazakhstan Chess Federation” held offline professional development courses for primary school teachers on “Methods of teaching chess for 1st to 2nd graders.”

 Primary school teachers from educational organizations across the region participated in the courses, which were organized as part of implementing the Comprehensive Plan for Chess Development in the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2023-2027. At the beginning of the seminar, the teachers completed a pre-course assessment, engaged with a specially designed program, worked with ready-to-use textbooks, workbooks and solved chess tasks, got acquainted with the methods of teaching chess.

The courses for teachers from Ulken Naryn district and Katon-Karagai district were held at S. Lastayev Secondary School of Katon-Karagai district, and for teachers from other districts – at A. Baitursynov Secondary School No. 20 of Ust-Kamenogorsk city.

Following the event, the participants provided feedback, highlighted the practical value and effectiveness of the training courses and expressed their appreciation to the organizers.
