Republican workshop “Tabigat ayasynda kitap oku”
On June 2-3, 2025, Örken Scientific and Methodological Center for Informatization and Education Development of Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region, in collaboration with the Republican Scientific and Pedagogical Library of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, is holding a republican workshop titled “Tabigat ayasynda kitap oku” (“Reading in Nature”) in Katon-Karagai district, as part of the Children’s Library Program.
The first day of the workshop took place on June 2, 2025.
The event brought together 170 participants, including representatives from the Educational Work and Supplementary Education Department of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Republican Scientific and Pedagogical Library of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, media, experts responsible for school libraries from regional education administrations, methodologists of methodological centers, representatives of district and city education departments, school librarians of the regions.
The opening address and welcoming remarks were given by A.Sh. Saidembayeva, the Director of the Republican Scientific and Pedagogical Library of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan; D.B. Dyusembayev, Akim of Katon-Karagai district; B.K. Bolayev, Chair of the Katon-Karagai District Maslikhat.
During the plenary session, presentations as part of the Reading School Project and Children’s Library Program were delivered by: G.P. Koshenova, Head of Education Department of Katon-Karagai district; A.K. Jumagulova, headmaster of Orel Secondary School of Katon-Karagai district; A.B. Abraimova, headmaster of Zhambyl Secondary School of Katon-Karagai district.
Experts from other regions shared their experiences on the following topics:
- B.K. Kulandiyeva, a teacher of the Kazakh language and literature of Secondary School No.10 of Aktobe city, on the topic “Gibrat al” online kenistigindegi okushy tulgasyn damytu zhobasy”;
- A.S. Mukanova, Zh.Zh. Birmaganbetova, G.R. Aliyeva, school library managers of Aktobe region held educational classes on the topic “Tabigat - kitaptar tilinde”. “Zhaksy kitap - adal zholga bastar”;
- a master class titled “Zhaksy kitap-zhan azygy”, was presented by school library managers of Akmola region;
- K.E. Akmurzayeva, head of Educational Center of Kyzylorda region presented the project “Zhazda kitap oky!”;
- A.D. Azhimukhanov, a business development manager at Edline LLP, creator of the Smartkitaphana project, made a presentation on “Mektep kitaphanalaryn avtomattandyru zhane tsifrlandyru”;
- E.M. Sultangaliyev, creator of the Libsystem system.kz, made a presentation on “Kitapkhana isin avtomattandyru zhuiyesi”;
- F.V. Sokolov, project manager of the Ekitaphana project.kz JSC shared his experience on the topic “Standards of digital transformation of librarianship in education”. “Artificial intelligence in the library.”
Following the plenary session, the guests of the event visited the Katon-Karagai National Nature Park, toured the Berel Reserve Museum and continued to engage in the following thematic discussions: reading excerpts from Abai’s “Words of Edification”, presentations by methodologists and school librarians from Astana, Almaty, Shymkent, Pavlodar cities, West Kazakhstan, Turkestan, Mangystau, Kostanay regions; “Popularization of Abai’s works”, demonstration of the works by methodologists and school librarians of Kyzylorda, Abai, Karaganda, Ulytau, East Kazakhstan, Zhambyl, Atyrau regions.
The workshop is ongoing.
