The main causes of death for January-December 2025
In the first 12 months of 2025, 971 people died in the Altai region, a 4.9% decrease from the previous year. Males accounted for 53.1% of deaths, while females accounted for 46.9%. The mortality rate per 1,000 people was 16.53, compared to 17.01 for the same period last year.
The highest proportion of deaths were due to circulatory diseases (23.2%), nervous system diseases (21.6%), neoplasms (11%), accidents, poisoning, and injuries (7.8%), and respiratory diseases (5.9%).
Infant mortality among children under 1 year of age in the first 12 months of 2025 was 2. The main causes of these early deaths were respiratory diseases (50%), influenza, acute respiratory infections, and pneumonia (50%).
