Key Industrial Performance Indicators
in the Altai District for January-October 2025
Industrial production in January-October 2025 resulted in an increase in the physical volume of industrial output compared to the same period in 2024.
Industrial enterprises and facilities produced goods and services worth 33,064 million tenge, accounting for 1.2% of the regional output. The industrial production index was estimated at 93.6% of the January-October 2024 level.
Manufacturing accounts for the largest share (58.0%) of the district's industrial output. Mining and quarrying account for 1.1%, electricity, gas, steam, hot water, and air conditioning supply account for 35.7%, and water supply, waste collection, treatment, and disposal, as well as pollution control activities, account for 5.2%.
In January-October 2025, the mining and quarrying industry produced 363.7 million tenge worth of goods, down 8.6% from the same period last year.
In manufacturing, 19,171.8 million tenge worth of goods were produced in January-October 2025, with the industrial production index for the reporting period being 86.6% compared to the same period in 2024. Food production increased by 8.2%.
In the supply of electricity, gas, steam, hot water, and air conditioning, goods and services were produced worth 11,796.3 million tenge, with the industrial production index being 97.5%. Electricity production, transmission, and distribution decreased by 4.5%, while steam, hot water, and air conditioning increased by 1.1%.
In water supply; Waste collection, processing, and disposal, as well as pollution control activities, generated output worth 1,732.6 million tenge, a 0.2% increase compared to the same period last year. Water collection, treatment, and distribution volumes decreased by 7.7%, while wastewater collection and treatment increased by 1.7% and waste treatment, disposal, and material recycling (recovery) increased by 117%.

The Industrial Production Index is a relative indicator characterizing the change in industrial output over comparable periods.
