In the first nine months of 2025, 693 people died in the Altai region, a 12.7% decrease compared to the previous year. Males accounted for 52.2% of deaths, while females accounted for 47.8%. The mortality rate per 1,000 people was 15.77, compared to 17.44 for the same period last year.
The highest proportion of deaths were due to diseases of the nervous system (19.2%), circulatory diseases (23.8%), accidents, poisoning, and injuries (10%), neoplasms (9.9%), and gastrointestinal diseases (7%).
Infant mortality among children under one year of age in the first nine months of 2025 was 2. The main causes of such early deaths were respiratory diseases (50%), influenza, acute respiratory infections, and pneumonia (50%).
