In the current year, compared to the previous year, the area under agricultural crops in all categories of farms increased by 444.5 hectares (0.6%) and amounted to 77,034.5 hectares. The area of oilseed crops increased by 755 hectares or 2.6%, and forage crops by 617 hectares or 12.9%.
The area under oilseed crops increased significantly (by 5,419.8 hectares or 15.2%). A decrease in the area under grain crops was noted - by 2,727 hectares or 8.4%. In the structure of crops, the share of oilseed crops was 53.1%, grain crops 38.7%, forage crops - 6.2%, potatoes and vegetable and melon crops - 2%.
In agricultural enterprises, the area increased by 1,114.6 hectares. In peasant or farming households, a reduction in sown areas by 198.5 hectares was noted, in households, a reduction in sown areas by 471.6 hectares was observed. The share of these categories of households in the total sown area was 80.8%, 17.4%, 1.8%, respectively.
