Key livestock indicators for January – October 2024 in the Altai region.
As of November 1, 2024, 51.1% of cattle were registered in households; 20.4% - in peasant or farm households and individual entrepreneurs; 28.5% - in agricultural enterprises; for sheep, respectively - 72.1%, 13.1%, 14.8%; pigs - 96.9%, 0.8%, 2.3%; horses - 38.4%, 29.1%, 32.5%.
In January-October 2024, all categories of farms in the district produced 2,607.5 tons of meat (live weight), or 96.1% of the same period in 2023, 12,621 tons of milk (126.9%, respectively), 11.1 million eggs (96.5%). The decrease in meat production is accompanied by a significant decrease in the volume of sales of horses and pigs by peasant farms by 12.2%.
The main producers of meat and milk are households (61%), agricultural enterprises (12%), and peasant farms (27%).
