Key performance indicators of the industry
of the Altai region for January-September 2024
The result of industrial production in January-September 2024 was an increase in the physical volume of industrial output compared to the same indicator in 2023.
Industrial enterprises and industries produced products (goods, services) worth 27,131.9 million tenge, which amounted to 1.4% of the regional production volume. The industrial production index was estimated at 105.7% of the level of January-November 2023.
In the structure of industrial production in the region, the largest share (60.8%) belongs to the manufacturing industry. Mining and quarrying accounts for 0.7%, supply of electricity, gas, steam, hot water and air conditioning - 34.2%, water supply; collection, processing and disposal of waste, pollution control activities - 4.3%.
In January-September 2024, the mining and quarrying industry produced goods worth 194.8 million tenge, which is 11.2% higher than the same period last year. The volume of metal ore mining increased by 9.8%.
In January-September 2024, the manufacturing industry produced goods worth 16,499.5 million tenge, the industrial production index in the reporting period compared to the same period in 2023 was 82.0%. An increase was noted in food production by 19.1%.
In the supply of electricity, gas, steam, hot water and air conditioning, goods (goods, services) worth 9,276.7 million tenge were produced, the industrial production index was 116.4%. An increase was noted in the production, transmission and distribution of electricity by 10.4%, in the supply of steam, hot water and air conditioning by 4.1%
In water supply; waste collection, processing and disposal, pollution control activities, products were produced for 1,160.8 million tenge, which is 3.2% lower than the level of the corresponding period last year. Volumes in the collection, processing and distribution of water decreased by 5.5%, wastewater collection and processing by 10.5%, an increase in waste processing and disposal; recycling (recovery) of materials by 25.7.2%.
