Altai region for January-November 2023
The result of industrial production in January-November 2023 was an increase in the physical volume of industrial output compared to the same indicator in 2022.
Industrial enterprises and production facilities produced products (goods, services) worth 38,944.5 million tenge, which amounted to 1.8% of the regional production volume. The industrial production index was estimated at 101.7% compared to the level of January-November 2022.
In the structure of industrial production of the region, the largest share (66.9%) belongs to the manufacturing industry. Mining and quarrying occupies 3%, supply of electricity, gas, steam, hot water and air conditioning - 26.8%, water supply; collection, processing and disposal of waste, pollution elimination activities – 3.3%.
In the mining industry and quarrying in January-November 2023, products worth 1169.3 million tenge were produced, which is 0.1% higher than the level of the corresponding period last year. The volume of metal ore production increased by 13.2%.
In the manufacturing industry, in January-November 2023, products worth 26,070.2 million tenge were produced, the industrial production index in the reporting period compared to the same period in 2022 was 94.6%. An increase was noted in the production of chemical products by 9.5%.
In the supply of electricity, gas, steam, hot water and air conditioning, products (goods, services) worth 10,450 million tenge were produced, the industrial production index amounted to 90.3%. A decrease was noted in the production, transmission and distribution of electricity by 8.8%, in the supply of steam, hot water and conditioned air by 4.5%.
In water supply; collection, processing and disposal of waste, pollution elimination activities produced products worth 1,255 million tenge, which is 10.8% higher than the level of the corresponding period last year. Volumes in the collection, treatment and distribution of water increased by 8.7%, collection and treatment of wastewater by 14.2%, waste treatment and disposal; recycling (recovery) of materials by 15.2%.
