Migration processes in the Altay region
As a result of the migration exchge, according to preliminary data for January-marh 2023, 279 people left the district, 223 people arrived in the district. Compared January- marh 2022, the number of arrivals in the Altai region increased by 6%, and the number of departures by 25%. 42 people arrived from other regions of the republic against 24 people in the same period last year.
The largest outflow from the district was to other district of the region(206 people, or 74% of the total). In January- marh 2021,respectively, 272 people left, or 74%. 32 people left for neighboring countries(11,6% of the total volume of departures), for the corresponding period, respectively, 43 people or 11,6%.
As a result of external and internal migration in January- marh 2023, there was a decrease of 56 people against 133 people in January- marh 2022.
