Migration processes in the Altay region
As a result of the migration exchge, according to preliminary data for January-marh 2022, 370 people left the district, 237 people arrived in the district. Compared January- marh 2021, the number of arrivals in the Altai region increased by 28%, and the number of departures by 2,4%. 24 people arrived from other regions of the republic against 135 people in the same period last year. The number of arrivals from neighboring countries amounted was 2 people.
The largest outflow from the district was to other district of the region(272 people, or 74% of the total). In January- marh 2021,respectively, 307 people left, or 81%. 143 people left for neighboring countries(11,6% of the total volume of departures), for the corresponding period, respectively, 34 people or 9%.
As a result of external and internal migration in January- marh 2022, there was a decrease of 133 people against 50 people in January- marh 2021.
