The agro-industrial complex of the East Kazakhstan region is the second main branch of the region's economy, which provides not only food security, but also is a driver of economic development.
Currently, the harvesting campaign continues in the region.
The total harvesting area this year is 640 thousand hectares, of which cereals and legumes are about three hundred thousand hectares, and oilseeds are more than two hundred thousand hectares.
In mid-September of this year, slightly more than half of the sown areas of grain and leguminous crops with an average yield of 13 quintals per hectare were harvested. However, it is worth noting that this is 30% lower than the yield recorded last year.
For harvesting in the region this year, the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan together with the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan allocated 8.5 thousand tons of preferential diesel fuel with an average price of 245 tenge per liter, as well as about seven thousand tons of diesel fuel for drying seeds.
It is worth noting that the region has more than 2 thousand combine harvesters, including about 400 modern high-performance units.
To process the new crop in the region there are more than 300 mechanized grain cleaning complexes of different capacities, 90 dryers capable of drying 12 thousand tons of grain per day and 5 licensed elevators with grain drying plants.
It is important to note that weather conditions, especially precipitation since the end of August, have been a deterrent to harvesting. This cannot but affect the yield and the rate of harvesting.
The Akimat of the region takes measures to promptly resolve all issues and mobilize the necessary resources. This issue remains under constant control.
