Development of dairy farming in East Kazakhstan region. Application of modern equipment of the world's leading manufacturers of automated milking and herd management companies DeLaval, Afimilk (On the example of LLP "Rulikha" Shemonaikhinsky district, LLP "OHMK" Glubokovsky district)

Dairy cattle breeding is the leading branch of animal husbandry and plays an important role in the development of agriculture as a whole. By the end of 2022, the share of milk production in the gross output of livestock production was 53%. At the same time, agricultural enterprises account for 38% of the total volume of milk produced.
In the region there are 44 dairy farms (MTF) located in 7 districts of the region (Ridder - 2 MTF, Altai – 5 MTF, Glubokovsky – 7 MTF, Zaisansky – 1 MTF, Kurchumsky – 2 MTF, Ulansky – 13 MTF and Shemonaikhinsky 14 MTF).
One of the leading farms of the region is LLP "Rulikha" of the Shemonaikhinsky district, formed in 2004.
Since 2016, Rulikha LLP has been specializing in the breeding of dairy cattle and is one of the largest farms. And it was decided to start work with the reconstruction of the old livestock complex, which has not been used for about 10 years. Soon there were two large technological rooms for adult animals and four for young animals.
Then the heifers of the Holstein black-and-white breed were imported from the Netherlands. The main advantage of this breed is high productivity: one cow per day can give from 30 to 50 liters of milk.
In order to realize the productivity potential of cows, the company has thoroughly approached the equipping of the livestock complex. A large number of models from different manufacturers were considered, both for milking equipment and for stable keeping of livestock. As a result, preference was given to advanced companies in the field of keeping and milking cows.
A milking parlor of the parallel 20+20 type was purchased from the Israeli company Afimilk, 40 cows are milked here at the same time. Afimilk is a world leader in the development, production and supply of the latest computerized systems for automation of modern dairy farms and for herd management.
The stall equipment was purchased from the Italian company "Rota Guido", which has a water supply system with circulating heated water troughs, a ventilation system, hydraulic scrapers for manure removal, rubber mats for covering the floor in the boxes.
A hall with an additional complex for calving cattle, a special room for caring for calves and a large base for keeping dairy cows was also put into operation.
Today the farm has 436 dairy cows. 11,230 kg of milk is milked per day, the milk yield for a feed cow is 29.15 kg.
In 2022, the farm produced 4.5 thousand tons of milk.
Rulikha LLP supplies a large volume of milk to all major producers of dairy products in East Kazakhstan.
There are plans to increase the dairy herd to 1080 heads, including thanks to the offspring from already imported cows.
LLP "Experimental farm of oilseeds" (OHMC) was established in 2006, located in the village of Solnechny, Glubokovsky district of East Kazakhstan region.
One of the activities of the farm is dairy cattle breeding. The farm is represented by dairy cattle breeds, in particular the Holstein-Frisian breed. The herd has more than 3.0 thousand heads, of which 1.4 thousand are milked. The average milk yield per 1 cow is 24-26 liters of milk per day. In 2022, 14.9 thousand tons of milk were produced.
Automation of the milking process, especially at large production enterprises, is an important factor in the successful functioning of the dairy and livestock complex, therefore, OHMK LLP is actively introducing digitalization into animal husbandry.
In 2016, the "Experimental farm of oilseeds" installed and put into operation the equipment of the "parallel" type system, produced by the company "DeLaval". She not only milks 36 cows at a time, but also promptly counts the volume of milk received.
Modern automatic milking systems offer milk temperature, milk conductivity, milk color, including infrared scanning, changing the milking speed, changing the milking time, etc
. For direct work with animals, OHMK LLP has been using UNIFORM consultant software since 2019, which provides a complete management program that provides data recording and daily monitoring. farm management, allows you to use analysis tools to make decisions.
This program allows you to plan all veterinary activities, tracking the condition of cows and the moment of the onset of hunting. UNIFORM also has an application for the phone, which undoubtedly facilitates the availability of information in the shortest possible time, without spending extra time moving around the farm. Directly from the phone, you can see data about the last dose, the vaccination received and the physiological status of the animal.
For OHMK LLP, the most important component in the process of increasing milk yields is feeding. For this purpose, KEENAN feed dispensers were purchased in 2020, which have a unique feed mixing system. To control feeding, an integrated InTouch technology program was purchased, thanks to which, on a computer in real time, the operator's activity is monitored when loading the hopper and when executing the feeding program. The system allows you to track the volumes of components of the prescribed monofeed and non-edible residues, and it is convenient to monitor for different groups of animals served at different feeding periods. Thus, the zootechnician formulates optimal rations, based not on calculated indicators, but on verified information, considering exactly those volumes of feed that were actually delivered to the animals. The mistakes of the machine operator are minimized, stable profitability for the farm.
