Modern methods of diagnosis and treatment of diseases of farm animals (mastitis, hoof rot, infertility) in the dairy farm LLP "OHMK" Glubokovsky district.
The dairy farm of OHMK LLP in the village of Solnechny, Glubokovsky district, is considered to be the only dairy farm in East Kazakhstan Region, the equipment of which meets international standards. Highly qualified technologists, invited from Ukraine and Belarus, worked here. Now local specialists are already working at MTF, who have learned all the subtleties and tricks of modern commercial milk production.
According to the information of the veterinarian of the Dairy Farm of OHMK LLP, diseases such as mastitis, hoof rot are found and successfully treated on farms with modern methods and drugs, preventive work and infertility diagnostics are underway.
Mastitis is an inflammation of the mammary gland and is considered the most unprofitable disease for cattle breeders.
Firstly, because of it, milk yield is falling - in fact, it will take a lot of money and time to restore milk volumes. Secondly, during the treatment of the udder and after some time after it, antibiotics remain in the product, which means that it cannot be allowed for sale. Mastitis can be overt or hidden. Let us explain that the second type of disease, which is also called "subclinical mastitis" in cows, is considered the beginning of the manifestation of an open form of the disease.
Correct diagnosis of mastitis in cows is required for correctly prescribed medical treatment. To date, there are many methods for determining the form of udder disease, for example, a cenotest, through which a check is carried out once a week and treatment is prescribed.
Mastiet Forte is intended for the treatment of clinical and subclinical forms of mastitis of bacterial etiology in cows during lactation. It is applied 3-4 times with an interval of 12 hours. During treatment, milk from sick cows is pasteurized and used for drinking calves.
Cows on large farms and in households often suffer from hoof rot. Hoof rot in cows is a disease of an infectious nature, it is caused by bacteria. The skin around the hoof becomes inflamed, in severe cases, the decay of the horny tissue begins with the release of pus.
The overall health of the animal is deteriorating. Treatment of hoof rot is mandatory under the supervision of a veterinarian. Hoof baths with various preparations for hooves are used to control this type of disease. Chromata in the herd is evaluated once a week, sick animals are detected at an early stage, a list of sick cows is compiled for the hoof service team, which is engaged in pruning and treatment every day.
Infertility causes great harm to the national economy, as it causes a shortage of offspring, a decrease in the productivity of livestock, non-paying expenses for feeding and maintenance, treatment. Therefore, in order to prevent more economic losses due to infertility of farm animals, it is better to prevent it.
In order to prevent symptomatic infertility, there are isolators and other veterinary facilities on the farm and complexes, maternity wards with round-the-clock duty in them, proper cleanliness is maintained in livestock premises, and sanitary rules for keeping animals are strictly observed.
Prevention of alimentary infertility is carried out through the creation of specialized groups of animals for the cultivation of repair young animals, where they provide feeding in accordance with age. Organize timely and correct harvesting, delivery and storage of feed. Install and use the necessary mechanisms for processing feed, preparing them for feeding and distribution to animals.
For the prevention of operational infertility, proper milking of cows is organized, taking into account the cultivation of viable offspring and the preservation of the health of mothers. Prevention of climatic infertility is achieved by creating an optimal microclimate for animals. For the prevention of congenital infertility, selection and selection of females and producers is carried out taking into account the degree of kinship, producers or imported sperm are regularly changed, interbreeding is carried out on commodity farms (do not allow inbreeding); plempreprises are completed by producers taking into account breeds and lines, a clear long-term planning of the delivery of their sperm to farms is organized. Isolated maintenance of young females and males during their rearing is practiced.
By carrying out such operational and technological methods of combating diseases, the Dairy farm of OHMK LLP successfully shows high statistical data in the production of cow's milk in our country.
