Grain Warrants

In order to improve legal regulation of turnover of grain warrant on April 9, 2016 there was a law “On Introduction of Amendments and Additions to Specific Legal Acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the Matterы of Regulation of Grain Market» (the Law) adopted. From 23 July 2016 grain warrants are issued only in electronic form.

According to clause 2, Article 2 of the Law, the grain warrants issued prior to adoption of this Law shall be valid until complete performance of liabilities under them but not later than January 1, 2020.

According to clause 3, Article 2 of the Law, the grain warrants issued earlier shall be suspended until 1 января 2020.

Therefore we recommend redemption of warrants or conversion of paper grain warrants into electronic format.
