Derkul'sk" formed in accordance with the Laws of RK "About local state management and self-government in the Republic of Kazakhstan" dated January 23, 2001 "About administrative-territorial device of the Republic of Kazakhstan" dated December 8, 1993 and the joint Decision of akimat №48 and by the Decision of the West Kazakhstan regional maslikhat No. 33-12, 18 March 2020.

The village of Derkul includes the following localities: Livkino, Cardon, Mashtakovo, Vetelki, Kumiska, Osken Auyl, Novostroika-Kumiska, Rybtsekh, Umit, and the microdistricts "Saryarka"and " Kokzhiek".
