Тhe mayor of Uralsk Abat Shynybekov’s congratulation on the Victory Day

Dear uralians! Dear veterans!
I heartily congratulate everyone on the 75th anniversary of the great Victory! For each of us, may 9 is an eternal symbol of national glory and military valor. We celebrate the heroic feat of our veterans who won the Victory over fascism. Their courage, self-sacrifice and bravery are an example for the current generation of Kazakhstanis. For 75 years we have been living under a peaceful sky, in an independent country, and our gratitude to the veterans, the older generation, who gave their strength and health to the cause of Victory, is immeasurable.
During the war years, more than 80 thousand of our citizens were sent to the front from the Urals, half of whom died on the battlefields. 40 countrymen were awarded the title of Hero of the Soviet Union, 6-full knight of the order of Glory. And we are proud of our veterans who did not lose their dignity and won the Victory with honor.
We also say special words of gratitude to the home front workers who tirelessly, day and night, endured hardships and hunger, and made their contribution to the fight against fascism. They provided the front and the army with everything they needed, depriving themselves and their children of food and clothing. The great Victory was forged together, bringing it closer to completion. For uralians, the war years are special, including those who came to our hospitable land and stayed here forever, having found a second Homeland.
Today, as we celebrate the 75th anniversary of the Victory, we bow our heads to those who did not live to see this great event. This day will forever remain in our history and the memory of the people.
Dear countrymen!
I wish you all good health, happiness and well-being in your family! Let this Victory Day remain a holiday for future generations and no forces will disrupt the stability of our country!
