Agricultural sectors of the country

In Kazakhstan, traditionally, 2 main areas are represented:

• Crop production is the basis of agriculture. Crops such as corn, oats, millet, barley, buckwheat, rice, and spring wheat are grown in our country. Oil crops and sugar beet also occupy considerable areas. Grapes, melons, apples, potatoes, flax and cotton can also be mentioned.

• Livestock farming in the country includes goats, pigs, camels, horses, and sheep in addition to cattle breeding.
