Labor Collectives of the Capital Will Receive Invitations to Astana Opera’s Performances

Within the framework of the new project for the popularization of culture “MadeniEl”, representatives of budgetary labor collectives will receive invitations to the best opera and ballet performances. The initiative of the Nur-Sultan Akimat was supported by the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan and is being implemented jointly with Astana Opera from February 9.

Attending a performance at an opera house is a significant and enlightening event. However, in today’s busy life, not everyone can find the time and opportunity to visit the temple of Melpomene. Having an invitation in hand, it will become much easier to get out of the cycle of everyday life and get in touch with the magical theatrical atmosphere.

“The program to popularize the cultural achievements of our country “MadeniEl” is designed to involve as many citizens as possible in the cultural life. To this end, 300 people among the employees of the public sector will be invited to each production on a systematic basis by the means of raised sponsorship funds,” Galym Akhmedyarov, Astana Opera’s general director, Honoured Worker of Kazakhstan, says. “This practice should involve the residents of the capital in cultural activities and remind them that Astana Opera is on a par with the world-famous opera houses.”

Today, employees of the educational sphere, healthcare, police, the Department of Emergency Situations and public utilities were invited to attend Pyotr Tchaikovsky’s international ballet masterpiece Swan Lake.

“To be honest, I do not go to theatres often. It can be difficult to find time amidst daily responsibilities. This is my first time at Astana Opera. I would like to express my deepest gratitude for the opportunity to attend a ballet at the opera house, which presented itself to us today. This place is astoundingly beautiful, and the magical music and incredible dancers simply enchanted me,” Zhanerke Bekbayeva, a teacher of the capital’s social institution, shared. “I really want to come here again and I hope to attend an opera soon.”
