Nurly Zhol state enterprise for 2020-2025 modernization of the Dostyk – Zhezkazgan – Moyynty transit corridor

In order to increase the capacity of Kazakhstan's transit routes, the state program "Nurly Zhol" for 2020-2025 provides for an event to modernize the infrastructure of the Dostyk – Zhezkazgan – Moyynty transit corridor.

The implementation of the project "Modernization of the railway section "Dostyk-Aktogay-Mointy" will increase the capacity from 9 to 28 pairs of trains. The growth of cargo traffic in 2030 compared to 2018 will increase by 1.5 times. About 3,000 people will be provided with jobs during the construction period, and 127 people will be employed during the operation period.

In General, this project will improve the efficiency of export-import and transit transport, accelerate the integration of the railway network of Kazakhstan into the world transport system, and make the huge Chinese market and the markets of Europe and Russia more accessible to Kazakh and international carriers.
