Change in prices of export deliveries and import receipts in January-July 2020
For seven months of the current year (July 2020 to December 2019), prices for exported goods decreased by 18.5%, imported – increased by 1.5%.

Over the past period, export prices decreased for oil by 30.7%, zinc – by 10.3%, lead – by 9.2%, rolled ferrous metals – by 8.7%, iron ores prices increased by 26.8%, ferroalloys – by 12.9%, copper – by 5.8%. Wheat prices increased by 17.3%, barley – by 9%.
Of the imported products, tobacco has risen in price by 36.1%, rice – by 19.9%, fish – by 13.1%, vegetable oil – by 11.2%, cocoa – by 10.5%, poultry meat – by 10.2%, margarine – by 4.5%, fruits and nuts fell by 21.4%, sugar – by 10.4%, vegetables – by 8%, sausage products by 5.6%. Prices forpharmaceutical products become higher 7.6%, shoes – by 5.2%, machinery, equipment and vehicles – by 1,8%, wood become lower 3.1%, construction materials – by 0.9%.
To calculate price indices, the primary statistical data of national statistical price monitoring are used for a sample of enterprises of exporters, importers and selected types of products (Form 1-C (export, import), national statistical observation of mutual trade in goods with member states of the Eurasian Economic Union ( Form 1-TS) and customs statistics data. The weighting scheme used to aggregate price indices is calculated based on data on the value of foreign trade of turnover in a given year, expressed in tenge.
