The short-termeconomic indicator inJanuary-July2020 compared with January-July2019was97.3%Calculation ofthe short-termeconomicindicatoris implemented to ensureefficiency and is basedonthechange in output indexesfor basicsectors: agriculture, industry, construction, trade,transportandcommunications,constituting over 60% ofGDP.

The volume of investment in fixedassets in January-July2020was6144.7 billiontenge, which is 5.2% less than in January-July2019.

Industrial output inJanuary-July2020was14633.8billion tenge in currentprices, which is 1.3% more than in January-July2019. In manufacturing productionhas increased by3.8%, in electricity, gas, steam and air conditioningproduction - by2.9%. In mining andquarrying production has decreased by0.4%, in water supply,sewerage system, controlover the collectionand distribution by1.6%.

The volume ofgross output(services) of agricultural, foresty and fisheriesin January-July2020was1679.1 billion tenge, which is 2.5%more than in January-July2019.

The volume of the construction works (services) in January-July2020 was1968.5billion tenge, which is 6.3% more than in January-July2019.

In Transport and warehousing» sector the volume indexin January-July2020was84.4%.

The volumeof freight turnover in January-July2020amounted to326.3 billion ton-kilometers(given the estimation of thevolume ofturnoverof individualentrepreneurs involved incommercial transportation), which is 3.8% less than January-July2019. The volume ofpassenger turnover was81.2billionpassenger-kilometersanddecreased by 51.6%.

In Communication» sector the volume index in January-July2020was108.7%.

In «Tradesector the volume indexin January-July2020 was 88.1%.

The volume of retailtradein January-July2020 was5608.8 billion tengeor88.3% as compared to January-July2019 (in the comparable prices)

The volumeof wholesale tradein January-July2020was11953.2 billiontenge or89.7% as compared to January-July2019 (in the comparable prices)

The foreign tradeturnover of Kazakhstanin January-June 2020was42521.6 million US dollarsandcompared to January-June2019 it decreased by7.9%, including export – 26007.3millionUS dollars (9.2%less), imports – 16514.3 millionUS dollars(5.8%less).

The number ofregistered legalentities as ofAugust 1,2020 was 454643unitsandcomparedwith the corresponding periodof the previous yearincreased by 3.3%, including445980units with less than100 employees.The number of operatingentitieswas321989including 313609 small businesses(less than100 employees)

The consumer price indexin July 2020compared to December2019was104.4%.The food priceshave increased by7.6%, non-food – by 2.9%, paid services by1.7%. Prices ofindustrial productsin July 2020compared to December2019 has decreased by12.2%.

Social sector

Per capita nominal incomeof the population estimatedin June2020was 109098tenge (preliminary data) which is5.2% higher compared to June2019, the real monetary income in June2020decreased by1.7%.

Average monthly nominalwages accruedto employees (estimated) in July 2020 was 208395 tenge

The number of unemployedpeople determined by the ILO methodology for the IIquarter of 2020 amounted to454thousand people.The unemployment rate was5% of the labor force.Number of persons registeredwith employment officesas unemployedat theend of July 2020was199.5 thousand people or2.2% of the labor force
