In January 2024 the industrial production index in Kazakhstan amounted to 103.4%

In January 2024, industrial products were produced in the amount of 3746.7 billion tenge, of which in the mining industry - by 1847.4 billion tenge (49.3% of the total volume), in the manufacturing industry - by 1564.4 billion tenge (41.3%).

Production growth is observed in the mining industry and quarrying by 0.2%, manufacturing industry – by 6.9%, supply of electricity, gas, steam, hot water and air conditioning – by 2.5%, water supply; water disposal; collection, treatment and disposal of waste, activities for the elimination of pollution - by 4.8%.

In the mining industry and quarrying in January 2024 the IIP was 100.2%, due to an increase in the production of metal ores (106.1%) and other minerals (103.3%).

In the manufacturing industry, the IIP in January 2024 compared to January 2023 106.9%, The growth was recorded in the production of chemical industry products – by 39.9%, metallurgical - by 12.2%, finished metal products, except machinery and equipment – by 18.1%, mechanical engineering - by 17.7%.

An increase in production volumes was recorded in 11 regions of the republic, a decrease is observed in Almaty, Atyrau, Zhambyl, Zhetisu, Mangystau, Soltustik Kazakhstan, Turkistan regions, Almaty and Shymkent city.
