106.3 thousand units of motor vehicles were registered in August

In October 2022, 106.3 thousand units of motor vehicles were registered, compared with the corresponding period last year, the indicator increased by 34,9%, including passenger cars by – 34.7%, trucks increased by 46.3%, buses decreased by 9.1%.

Thus, as of November 1, 2022, the number of registered vehicles in Kazakhstan amounted to 4389.2 thousand units, of which 87.6% were passenger cars, 10.4% - trucks and 2% - buses.As of November 1, 2022, there are 3634.4 thousand units of passenger cars owned by individual owners in the republic. The largest share of passenger cars is accounted for by individual owners of Almaty region (472.7 thousand units), Almaty city (433.1 thousand units) and East Kazakhstan region (272.5 thousand units).Passenger cars with production 20 years ago predominate among by individual owners of Almaty region (318.2  thousand units), Almaty city (177 thousand units) and Karaganda region (155.7 thousand units). Passenger cars with production year of no more than 3 years prevail among individual owners of the cities of Almaty (43.4 thousand units), Astana (39.9 thousand units) and Karaganda region (16.5 thousand units).
