96.9 thousand units of motor vehicles were registered in August

In August 2022, 96.9 thousand units of motor vehicles were registered, compared with the corresponding period last year, the indicator decreased by 10.6%, including passenger cars by – 11.7%, trucks increased by 7.7%, buses increased by 31.4%.

Thus, as of September 1, 2022, the number of registered vehicles in Kazakhstan amounted to 4377.7 thousand units, of which 87.7% were passenger cars, 10.4% - trucks and 1.9% - buses.As of September 1, 2022, there are 3630.9 thousand units of passenger cars owned by individual owners in the republic. The largest share of passenger cars is accounted for by individual owners of Almaty region (465.7 thousand units), Almaty city (460.3 thousand units) and East Kazakhstan region (275.9 thousand units).Passenger cars with production 20 years ago predominate among by individual owners of Almaty region (317.6 thousand units), Almaty city (194 thousand units) and Karaganda region (156.4 thousand units). Passenger cars with production year of no more than 3 years prevail among individual owners of the cities of Almaty (50 thousand units), Astana (46.7 thousand units) and Karaganda region (18.8 thousand units).
