In June 2022, 95801 passenger cars were registered in the Republic of Kazakhstan, which is 6.5% less than in the corresponding period of 2021. As of July 1, 2022, the number of registered passenger cars in the Republic of Kazakhstan amounted to 3907.2 thousand units1).
According to the year of manufacture, cars produced 20 years ago predominate in the fleet of passenger cars – 48.9%, the smallest share falls on vehicles aged from 3 to 7 years – 6.8%.
Unit Most passenger cars are registered in Almaty region2) – 501.5 thousand units, Almaty city – 463.7 thousand and Nur-Sultan city – 285.4 thousand, less in Kyzylorda region – 97.3 thousand.Passenger cars mainly use gasoline as fuel (86.7%), 9.1% of vehicles use mixed fuel3).As of July 1, 2022, in the Republic of Kazakhstan, the total number of registered passenger cars by engine volume is dominated by cars over 1500 to 2000 c.c. – 1793.3 thousand units.
