Wages in IV quarter of 2019
In the IV quarter 2019 the average monthly nominal wage per employee was 203883 tenge. The index of nominal wages to the corresponding quarter of 2018 year was 115,8%, in real term– 109,9%.
In the sectoral segment, the highest nominal wages are marked in Mining industry and the development of quarries - 428,3 thousand tenge (2,1 times higher than the average national level), in Financial and insurance activities- 402,5 thousand tenge (2,0 times), in the area of Professional, scientific and technical activities - 373,4 thousand tenge (in 1,8 times), in the area of Information and communication - 278,0 thousand tenge (in 1,4 times).
The lowest level of nominal wage is noted in Agriculture, forestry and fishing – 127,3 thousand tenge, which is 37,6% lower than the average indicator in the republic.
In the regional context, the highest nominal wage was in the Atyrau region - 345,2 thousand tenge, which is 1,7 times higher than the national average. However, in the Turkistan region, its value was 138,1 thousand tenge, which is 32,3% lower than the national average.
Note. In accordance with international standards, the average monthly nominal wage per employee is based on additional payments, allowances, premiums, and taxes and other deductions (income tax, mandatory pension contributions, contributions for mandatory social health insurance).
