Достойный труд в Республике Казахстан в 2021 году*

Decent work indicators The Bureau of National Statistics of the Agency for Strategic Planning and Reforms of the Republic of Kazakhstan forms annually as part of the statistical measurement of decent work in accordance with the methodology of the International Labor Organization (hereinafter - the ILO). The concept of "Decent Work" is defined by the ILO as the task of "creating for men and women opportunities for decent and productive work in conditions of freedom, equality, social guarantees and respect for human.

According to the results of the specialized sample survey "Decent Work", the employment rate of the population (aged 15 years and older) amounted to 66.1% and increased by 0.3 percentage points compared to 2020.

Of employees 94.2% had a permanent job (under a contract for an indefinite period), 5.8% - casual, piecework or seasonal.

During this time, 4.2% (367.9 thousand people) of the employed underwent vocational training, of which 80.6% (296.7 thousand people) were trained at the expense of the employer or other organizations. In the event of dismissal, 76.9% of respondents are confident that they will receive compensation provided for by labor legislation. Of the employed population, 11.9% noted that they work in unfavorable working conditions.

More than 40 hours a week worked 16.4% (1441.8 thousand people) of the employed population, of which 70.5% - due to the requirements established by the employer, 15.6% - due to higher income. Less than the set week length- 5.3% (466.8 thousand people), of which 44.8% due to insufficient work. The majority of employees (78.3%) indicated that they work in the normal working week.

Of the total number of employed, 83% noted that they manage to combine work and household chores.
