Business activity of industrial and trade enterprises

Heads of industrial enterprises noted from the IV quarter of 2021 in comparison with the III quarter of 2021, the volume of production and demand for finished products remained at the level of the previous quarter.

The business confidence index, characterizing the change of business activity have been comprised 1%.

According to opinions of the majority of heads of industrial enterprises, in the coming perspective the improvement of financial and economic activity in comparison with the current moment.

By assessment of the heads of trading enterprises, the consumer demand and business activity in the IV quarter of 2021 in comparison with the III quarter of 2021 decreased.

The business confidence index characterizing of business activity of interviewed trading enterprises in the IV quarter of 2021 have been comprised (-4%).

65% of trade enterprises are expecting to have the same financial and economic activity in comparison with the current moment, 11% - improvement and 13% - deterioration.

The business confidence index of industry enterprises is calculated as an average of the “balances” of assessments of the level of formed factual demand and stock of finished products (the latter – with a reverse sign) as well as expected changes of production output, in percent.

The business confidence index of trade enterprises is calculated as an averageof the “balances”of assessments of the level of formed factual economic situation and warehouse stores (the latter – with the reverse sign)as well as expected changes of economic situation, in percent. The balance implies the difference between the proportions of respondents who noted “increase” and “decrease” of a particular indicator of economic activity of a surveyed enterprise, in percent.
