Wages in II quarter of 2021*

In the II quarter 2021 the average monthly nominal wage per employee was 251 545 tenge. The index of nominal wages to the corresponding quarter of 2020 year was 118,6%, in real term–110,4%.

In the sectoral segment, the highest nominal wages are marked in Financial and insurance activities – 472,5 thousand tenge (1,9 times higher than the average national level), in Mining industry and the development of quarries– 461,8 thousand tenge (1,8 times), in the area of Professional, scientific and technical activities – 356,7 thousand tenge (in 1,4 times), in the area Information and communication – 338,6 thousand tenge (in 1,3 times). The lowest level of nominal wage is noted in agriculture, forestry and fishing – 145,6 thousand tenge and water supply; Sewerage system, waste collection and distribution control – 146,5 thousand tenge.

In the regional context, the highest nominal wage was in the Atyrau region – 398,5 thousand tenge, which is 1,6 times higher than the national average. In the Soltustik Kazakhstan, its value was 189,8 thousand tenge, which is 24,5% lower than the national average.
