Wages in IІI quarter of 2020*

In the IІI quarter 2020 the average monthly nominal wage per employee was 204330 tenge. The index of nominal wages to the corresponding quarter of last year was 106,9%, in real term–99,9%.

In the sectoral segment, the highest nominal wages are marked in Mining industry and the development of quarries–448,5 thousand tenge (2,2 times higher than the average national level), in Financial and insurance activities 381 thousand tenge(1,9 times), in the area of Professional, scientific and technical activities–314,8 thousand tenge (in 1,5times), in the area Information and communication–276,1 thousand tenge (in 1,4 times), in the area of Transportation and storage–249,9 thousand tenge (in 1,2 times). The lowest level of nominal wage is noted in Agriculture, forestry and fishing–142,6 thousand tenge, which is 30,2% lower than the average indicator in the republic.

In the regional context, the highest nominal wage was in the Atyrauregion –350,8 thousand tenge, which is1,7times higher than the national average. In the Turkіstan, its value was 148.6 thousand tenge, which is 27.3% lower than the national average.

Note. In accordance with international standards, the average monthly nominal wage per employee is based on additional payments, allowances, premiums, and taxes and other deductions (income tax, mandatory pension contributions, contributions for mandatory social health insurance).
