Today, the Akim of the region Gauez Nurmukhambetov traveled by boat around the village of Zarechny, which is located in the floodplain of the river and is subject to flooding every year. The situation is currently stable — the water has not entered residential buildings. The city administration, rescuers, and police are working on the site, round-the-clock monitoring is being conducted, protective ramparts have been strengthened. A total of 200 people have been involved. All necessary measures to ensure safety and support for residents are being taken. The head of the region thanked the employees of all services for their dedicated work.
"During the visit to the village, I met with the residents of Zarechny. Understanding that the problem is systemic, we decided to resettle the residents to a safe place. The construction of two multi-story buildings has already begun, where families from Zarechny will be resettled. The work is on schedule, and we will do everything so that people receive new comfortable housing by the end of the year," the head of the region wrote on social networks.
