Akim of the NKR checks reinforcement work on the dam in Teplichny around the clock

"We have been working around the clock for three days now. I personally monitor the progress of strengthening the protective embankment in Teplichny. Yesterday I walked 30 thousand steps, today — a similar distance," the head of the region Gauez Nurmukhambetov wrote on social networks.

All necessary equipment is used on site, tents are pitched, food is organized. Up to 1.6 thousand people are participating in the work - these are employees of enterprises, organizations, civil servants, military personnel and rescuers.

The districts are also providing their assistance. Rescue teams from neighboring regions arrived to help. 90 thousand bags have been laid. A water-filled dam has been installed. Divers are being brought in to prevent leaks under the dam. The head of the region talked to people and sincerely thanked everyone who works around the clock, despite all the difficulties. "The main task is the complete safety of the settlement. We continue to work until all risks are completely eliminated," the Akim of the North Kazakhstan region noted.
