Today, the Akim of the region Gauez Nurmukhambetov visited war veteran Vasily Makienko in hospital, now he is receiving all the necessary medical care.

Despite his venerable age, Vasily Makienko leads an active lifestyle. Last year, he and the akim of the region participated in the ceremony of laying flowers at the Eternal Flame in honor of Victory Day. Next year, the veteran will celebrate his centenary.
