As part of the republican environmental program "Taza Kazakhstan", initiated by the Head of State, two bright and significant events took place in Petropavl, uniting young people and residents in caring for nature and cultural heritage.
The morning of April 18 began with an exciting and educational environmental quiz, which was held in the library named after G. Musirepov. This event was organized by the Youth Resource Center of the city of Petropavl. It was attended by students of local colleges, graduate students of the Department of Geography and Ecology of the M. Kozybayev NKU, as well as representatives of the specialized department of natural resources.
The quiz was held in the format of the game "Field of Miracles", where participants had to answer questions related to environmental protection and collect an encrypted word that was related to ecology. This format allowed us to make the event not only educational, but also exciting, promoting the active involvement of young people.
"For us, as future ecologists, participation in such initiatives is not only an opportunity to share our knowledge, but also to inspire others to take care of nature. We see that young people respond, actively participate, ask questions - and this is the most important result," Kristina Karimova, a master's student at the Department of Geography and Ecology at the M. Kozybayev NKU, noted.
Following the quiz, the winners and the most active participants were awarded certificates and prizes. But the main reward for all participants was the awareness of the importance of caring for the environment and the role of everyone in preserving nature.
On the same day, after the quiz, more than 50 young people gathered in the area of the monument to Gabit Musirepov to take part in an environmental clean-up campaign. The event was organized by the Youth Initiatives Department of the Center for Public Development and Information. The participants of the event armed themselves with gloves, garbage bags and a good mood, and within an hour cleared the territory of the monument of garbage and leaves.
The event not only contributed to improving the state of the environment, but also served as a reminder of the importance of respect for cultural heritage. The participants expressed gratitude to the organizers for the opportunity to contribute to maintaining cleanliness and order on the territory of the monument. "Taking care of our city is not only the responsibility of adults, but also our responsibility as young people," Talaspay Assanali, a volunteer and student at School No. 6 in Petropavl, said.
Anastasiya Volkova, head of the youth initiatives department, emphasized that such events are of great importance for fostering a culture of caring for the environment. "We do not just clean the territory and monuments - we form a culture where each person realizes their responsibility for nature and the city. The unification of caring people always leads to real changes," she said. These events are not isolated actions, but part of a large-scale program "Taza Kazakstan" aimed at improving the environmental situation in the country. The program includes a wide range of activities: from cleaning territories and landscaping to educational events aimed at raising awareness among young people and the population about environmental issues. As noted by the head of the Youth Resource Center Abdin Damir, in the future the program will continue to develop and cover more and more people: "We will continue to hold large-scale events on cleaning and landscaping territories, collecting and recycling waste, as well as organizing various educational events to involve young people and all concerned citizens in solving environmental problems."
