The republican environmental campaign initiated by the Head of State has now acquired a nationwide character. Within the framework of the program, landscaping, cleaning of territories, and explanatory meetings with the population are being held.
At the request of the Akim of North Kazakhstan region, a three-month improvement campaign has been announced. A meeting was held in Petropavl with the participation of the First Deputy Akim of the region Marat Tasmaganbetov, Deputy Akim of the region Kanat Duzelbayev, Chairman of the regional maslikhat Vladimir Bubenko, Akim of the city Serik Mukhamediyev, Akim of the Kyzylzhar district Saktagan Sadvokasov, as well as contractors, public figures, government agencies and city residents. The meeting discussed the implementation of a comprehensive plan for the improvement of territories and the development of "green zones".
"An environmental culture is being formed among people. Taking care of nature is the most important segment of our life today. In this regard, the regional akim gave an order to hold a meeting in Petropavl and Kyzylzhar district. Favorable conditions now allow us to intensify landscaping work. Such meetings will be held in all districts of the region," Marat Tasmaganbetov said.
As part of the "Taza Kazakstan" program, landscaping worth 7.6 billion tenge was carried out last year. 36 children's playgrounds and 40 sports grounds were installed.
"In November last year, the "Best Landscaping" competition was held. Four winners were determined in four nominations. Funds were allocated as a prize for the installation of playgrounds. The competition for the best landscaping will be held this year as well. We plan to expand the number of nominations," said Kanat Duzelbayev.
Since the beginning of the three-month landscaping campaign, 5 thousand courtyards have been cleaned in the region. 130 historical and cultural monuments and 90 parks and squares have been brought into proper sanitary condition. About 10 thousand tons of garbage have been taken to landfills. In the areas affected by last year's flood, they plan to plant over 2 thousand trees and develop over 70 squares.
However, there are also problems. For example, the irresponsible attitude of contractors to their direct responsibilities. Often, after construction and repair work, a large amount of garbage remains on the streets and adjacent areas. Marat Tasmaganbetov called on contractors to eliminate the deficiencies as quickly as possible, restore damaged sidewalks and road sections, replace curbs and take the garbage to the landfill.
