Today, a traditional seminar-meeting dedicated to the organized conduct of spring field work was held in Petropavl. It was attended by the Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan Aidarbek Saparov, Akim of the North Kazakhstan region Gauez Nurmukhambetov, district akims, scientists, experts and farmers from all over the region.
Timely and high-quality sowing campaign is the key to the development of agriculture in the northern region. The state provides farmers with the necessary assistance to carry out work in the optimal time frame. Thanks to early financing in the amount of 60 billion tenge through the Social entrepreneurship corporation "Soltustik" and "KazAgroFinance", farmers managed to thoroughly prepare for the season: they purchased seeds, fertilizers and fuel, and carried out equipment repairs.
This year, the wheat area will amount to 2.5 million hectares. At the same time, the area of oilseed crops will increase by 85 thousand hectares, to 760 thousand hectares. Farmers will apply 333 thousand tons of mineral fertilizers, which is 30% more than in 2024. 470 thousand tons of seeds have been harvested, 4 thousand high-performance machines and 1.5 thousand modern seeding complexes will enter the fields. In addition, farms will purchase 3 thousand units of new equipment for 87 billion tenge. The state also allocated 52 thousand tons of preferential fuel and lubricants. During the discussion, the seminar participants familiarized themselves with expert recommendations, modern agricultural technologies and advanced methods of spring sowing. Agricultural producers are advised to take these important aspects into account in order to ensure high yields and efficient use of resources. "It is necessary to conduct an organized sowing campaign in the optimal time frame, using high-quality seeds, agricultural technologies and modern equipment. Particular attention should be paid to the diversification of sowing areas, focusing on more marginal crops, such as oilseeds and vegetable crops. It is also necessary to increase the sowing of forage crops and introduce water-saving technologies," the head of the region wrote on social networks.
