Robots will assemble cars at a plant in NKR

During a meeting of the Akimat of North Kazakhstan region, the director of the ZIKSTO plant Danis Araslanov spoke about plans for the development of the enterprise. ZIKSTO is engaged in the production of platform cars, hopper cars and passenger cars.

The enterprise provides jobs for 450 people. By the end of 2024, the plant produced products for 100 billion tenge with a growth of 28%. This year, it is planned to increase the order portfolio.

“A new investment project is also being implemented to build a workshop for the production of passenger cars and platform cars. The investment volume will amount to 24 billion tenge, the number of workers will be increased to 900 people. We will assemble 3 thousand cars annually. Construction and installation work is currently underway, the launch is scheduled for the 4th quarter of this year,” the director of ZIKSTO Danis Araslanov said.

The new production building will use modern robotic technology, which will allow achieving versatility - producing units and components for various models of rolling stock.

The enterprise also plans to master the production of gondola cars, tank cars for the transportation of oil products and car carrier cars.

Akim of the North Kazakhstan region Gauez Nurmukhambetov emphasized that the region has big plans for the development of a wagon assembly plant. He noted that the implementation of the project will be an important step in updating the rolling stock of railway transport throughout the country.
