Akim of North Kazakhstan region Gauez Nurmukhambetov visited the Sergeyev hydroelectric complex, where he heard reports from the leaders on the current flood situation in the region. At the moment, the overflow at the Sergeyev reservoir is 35 cm. Let us recall that last year the record overflow level was 425 cm.
"In general, the situation in the region remains stable. Due to active snowmelt, temporary overflows occurred on regional and district roads, however, traffic is not restricted, and there is no threat of flooding of settlements. Akimats and police have organized a round-the-clock duty. Additional rescuers and special equipment have been sent to flood-prone areas," the head of the region wrote on social networks.
