Due to the sharp warming in the region, active snowmelt has begun. At the beginning of the flood season, melt waters in the Rabochyi Poselok area pose a particular threat. Today, Akim of North Kazakhstan region Gauez Nurmukhambetov visited the operational headquarters in this area, where he heard reports on the measures taken to reduce the risk of flooding of residential buildings.

In addition, the head of the region personally visited a private house on Universalnaya Street, whose residents asked for help in removing snow due to the threat of flooding through social networks and the media. After talking with the owners, Gauez Nurmukhambetov instructed the Akim of Petropavl to organize the removal of snow around the house before the morning. Residents, in turn, must clear their territory themselves. The issue was taken under the personal control of the Akim of North Kazakhstan region.

In general, the city akimat and the emergency department are on duty around the clock to promptly respond to citizens' requests. A central control room has also been set up to receive applications. Currently, city services are actively pumping out water. To intensify the work, 50 new motor pumps have been purchased, increasing the total number to 92 units. "The city administration and all public utilities have been instructed to switch to a 24-hour operation mode. It is necessary to mobilize resources as much as possible to promptly pump out water and remove snow in order to prevent flooding of residential buildings," the head of the region wrote on social networks.
