A major investment project has been successfully implemented in North Kazakhstan region within the framework of the President’s instruction to increase the share of processed products in the agro-industrial complex to 70%. A new oil extraction plant of Maslo-Del LLP for processing oilseeds has started operating in Petropavl. Akim of North Kazakhstan region Gauez Nurmukhambetov visited the new enterprise and got acquainted with the technological process of production.
34 billion tenge have been invested in the project, and when it reaches full capacity, up to 220 new jobs will be created. 3.2 billion tenge in taxes will be allocated to the budget. The new enterprise is capable of processing up to 400 thousand tons of oilseeds per year. The production is fully automated and waste-free, equipped with modern European equipment.
Products — sunflower, rapeseed and linseed oil, as well as high-protein feed additives — cake and meal. 10 thousand tons of unrefined sunflower oil have already been produced. In the spring, it is planned to commission an extraction line, and by the end of the year, a deep processing workshop for vegetable oil for the production of lecithin, which is in demand in the food industry, will be launched.
"The company purchases raw materials from local farmers, which emphasizes the high potential of the region. This year, as part of diversification, the area under oilseeds has been increased by 85 thousand hectares, to 760 thousand hectares," the head of the region noted.
Thanks to the new oil extraction plant, the region fully ensures the processing of its own crop. By the way, last year 780 thousand tons of oilseeds were collected in the North Kazakhstan region, while the total capacity of processing plants now amounts to 813 thousand tons per year.
